A SHARED FAITH, LIVED TOGETHER
At Aldersgate, what we believe shapes how we live. Our faith is centered on God’s love revealed through Jesus Christ and expressed in community through worship, service, and discipleship.
As part of The United Methodist Church, we join a global connection of believers who open hearts, open minds, and open doors through active engagement in the world.
We are a theologically wide-ranging congregation, unapologetically United Methodist, focusing on relationships and service rather than dogma.
SEASONS OF GROWTH
Expanding Ministries, Deepening Faith
We affirm the historic Christian faith, grounded in Scripture and guided by The Book of Discipline of The United Methodist Church.
As United Methodists, we share in the global mission to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.

We Believe:
-
God — Creator, Redeemer, and Sustainer of all life.
-
Jesus Christ — our Savior and Lord, whose life, death, and resurrection bring salvation.
-
The Holy Spirit — God’s presence, guiding and empowering us to live faithfully.
-
The Church — the body of Christ, called to share God’s love with the world.
-
The Bible — God’s inspired Word and our foundation for faith and practice.
-
Grace — God’s transforming love that goes before us, forgives us, and makes us new.

We practice open Communion, celebrating that God’s grace is available to all.

Our Four Sources:
-
Scripture: Our foundation and primary source of truth.
-
Tradition: The rich history and practices of the Church through time.
-
Experience: The transforming work of God in our daily lives.
-
Reason: The gift of discernment to understand how faith and life intersect.
THE WESLEYAN WAY
Scripture, Tradition, Experience, and Reason
As United Methodists, we understand faith through a balance of four sources of wisdom. These four guide us as we seek to live faithfully in today’s world:

Together, these help us live out a faith that is thoughtful, authentic, and grace-filled.
Faith in Action
DEEPLY ROOTED
At Aldersgate, belief is more than words; it is a way of life. Our community is built on discipleship that grows in four roles: Servant, Friend, Witness, and Follower. Following the Wesleyan tradition of social holiness, we believe personal faith naturally overflows into action, loving God and serving others. We gather in worship, grow in study, and go out to serve, living as a reflection of Christ’s love in the world.
JOIN THE CONVERSATION
We welcome questions. Faith grows best in conversation, and we’d love to walk with you as you explore what it means to follow Jesus.
