Dear Aldersgate Family,
After spending the day in prayer and in contact with our church leaders and staff, here is what we have decided about tomorrow, March 15th:
8:30 - We will hold an abbreviated "Manna" service; communion will be served with individual cups; offering plates will be placed at the doors where worshipers can leave their offerings; we will practice "social distancing" by sitting a comfortable distance from one another and maintaining as little physical contact as possible.
9:15 - Your Staff and Leadership Council will meet in the sanctuary.
We will discuss:
Worship plans for the 22nd and 29th.
Live streaming services
How do we communicate those changes church-wide?
Progress on the new website?
Use of the church by outside groups
10:30 - We will hold two abbreviated services: Our Traditional Service in the Sanctuary and "Bread for the Journey" Service in the Fellowship Hall.
5:30 - AUMC Kids will not meet; look for more details from Ellyn Smith, Aldersgate's Director of Children's Ministry.
5:30 - AUMC Youth and Parents will meet in the Disciple Center; look for more details from Associate Pastor, Rev. Tim Tatum.
In order to help insure your safety and your spiritual well being, your Church Staff and Church Leaders are working hard to make responsible decisions in these trying times. Please pray for us all.
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:6-7
